After graduating from Gonzaga University with a MA in Community counseling, I worked briefly at my internship site, Catholic Charities, before moving to Vancouver, Washington. There I volunteered at The Wellness Project as a counselor, providing individual and group counseling services. While in Vancouver, I also worked at Hotel Hope, an inpatient mental health unit. At Hotel Hope I provided intake and individual counseling services, as well as led groups and provided milieu support. In my private practice, I saw individuals and couples, working on a variety of issues from depression and anxiety, to family of origin conflict and relationship challenges.
I have completed the first level of Gottman Relationship Counseling Training, and in October 2013, I became a Gottman Bringing Baby Home Educator. In Fall 2019, I will complete the Postpartum Support International Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health, to support mental health challenges that arise in the perinatal period.
